The idea of skateboarding down a steep hill scares the pants of most people. Having a longboard with a brake, attached to a leash to control your speed and stop whenever you want is finally here!
How does it work?
The Boarder Kontrol 37″ Longboard works by using an adjustable-length leash that pulls on a steel cable, which in turn pulls on the brake arms. Two replaceable brake pads then push against the brake discs on the inside of the back wheels. The harder the rider pulls, the greater the braking power. The leash also provides the rider with a third point of contact with the board, helping to maintain stability. It can be removed when it is not needed, plus its handle can be looped around the front wheels when carrying the board, turning it into a shoulder strap.
